For researchers developing high-temperature superconductors, characterizing properties of these materials can be a challenge. This includes performing resistivity vs. temperature measurements to identify the superconducting transition temperature (Tc) of a sample. In this app brief, we demonstrate the capabilities of a platform for measuring resistivity to characterize the electrical parameters, including Tc, of an HTS tape sample — an approach that can be easily extended to other HTS and conventional superconducting materials.
