This application note discusses the use of first-order reversal curve (FORC) measurements and vibrating sample magnetometry for characterizing additively manufactured permanent magnet materials. Co-authored by Lake Shore scientists and Univ. of Nebraska – Lincoln researchers, the note explains how FORC analysis, combined with Lake Shore 8600 Series VSM measurements, can be used to gain insights into interactions occurring specifically in sintered and 3D printed NdFeB samples — characteristics that depart meaningfully from those of conventionally processed materials.
Lake Shore Cryotronics is a leading innovator in solutions for measurement over a wide range of temperature and magnetic field conditions. We are committed to our customers’ advancement of science and technology to benefit humanity.
